The Media Council Bill would set up a Media Council who would prepare a Code of Practice for the print and broadcast media in Bermuda, and for preparing a procedure for dealing with complaints. This Bill has been withdrawn following the establishment of a Media Council and Code of Practice implemented directly by the print and broadcast media.

The Firearms Amendment Act 2010 creates a new offence of "handling" a firearm or ammunition. It will also allow the police to apply to the Supreme Court for a warrant of detention and an extension of such a warrant. Arrested persons in connection with an offence involving firearms or ammunition may be helpd without charge for a maximum of 28 days to obtain the results of forensic testing.

The Public Access to Information Act 2010 will enact provisions for the public to obtain access to records held by public authorities (with some exceptions). It creates the role of the Information Commissioner and sets out the procedure to request records by "every person who is resident in Bermuda".
